I am Stephen Harrison MBE the founder of the Stephen Harrison Academy. My father was Ray Harrison a world paraplegic snooker champion and paralympic gold medalist, as a child I travelled around the world with my dad promoting disability snooker.
As I grew older I became a professional snooker player playing on the professional circuit for 12 years and competing at the highest level.
After the death of my father I decided to found the Stephen Harrison Academy to carry on his legacy and dream of making the sport of snooker accessible for all.
For over 13 years I have been running the snooker academy providing support for people with disabilities and hosting the Junior Disability Snooker Championships.
My dream is get snooker back into the paralympics and really grow grassroots snooker in the UK to make sure that everyone regardless of age or ability can access this great sport.
